Current Foundation volunteers come from various walks of life, sharing one common bond: a love of Civil War history and a respect for those who fought for what they believed during that War. Each volunteer donates his/her time and talents. Some bring with them the experience of co-chairing the fund-raising efforts that resulted in a trust fund for the first Pennsylvania monument to be endowed on the Gettysburg National Military Park. Other posses skills in public relations, journalism, photography and design, and retail sales. Most volunteers share the hobby of living history reenactor, but reenacting is by no means a requirement of volunteers of the organization. Some tasks to be completed include: typing, photography, computer keyboarding, designing forms, making arrangements to set up booths at various reenactments, preparing items to be shipped, answering correspondence, and or course hand staining Sallies! Since all time is donated, we are able to maximize the amount used for preservation.
