In 1861, President Abraham Lincoln's first call was for 75,000 volunteers to save the Union in what some call the 'War Between the  States.' Over the course of that War, Pennsylvania alone furnished over 300,000 troops. Those who answered the call of duty endured grueling hardships and mourned the loss of comrades in some of the bloodiest battles in our nation's history

The 11th P.V.I. Preservation Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory to those who served during those tumultuous years.from 1861 through 1865. Emphasizing those who served in the 11th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, the organization seeks to raise the public's awareness through education and monument preservation.

Let us not forget those who sacrificed their tomorrows so that we can have what we have today!
